In 2017 Valerie released her second studio album, "Mi Corazón". This album has a mix of tropical genre's that range from Bachata, Cumbiaton, salsa and Kizomba.

The project began with the recording of "Lost In Your Eyes" a salsa version in both English and Spanish of Debbie Gibson's 80's hit.

The Spanish adaptation of the song "Perdida" was written portraying Valerie's personal love story with her husband. The song was beautifully arranged by the Dominican producer and pianist, Tony Castillo. The music video was filmed in Fort Lauderdale by Anthony Mako. 

The "Mi Corazón" single. Valerie recorded it in Tampa and St. Petersburg where she lived at the time and continues to work in radio as an on air personality 10AM-3PM on 101.1 La Mega Tampa Bay. The music video was produced by Fliche Video Productions.
